Born in February 1970. She obtained her Master’s Degree at the Faculty of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk in 1993 and PhD Degree in 2000. At present, having obtained the title of associate professor (Polish: doktor habilitowany) in 2010, she runs the studio of drawing at the Academy and teaches course “Shape of Taste” at School of Form in Poznan. Between 2001 and 2003 she taught in several studios at the Department of Fine Arts and Department of Graphic Design at the Bilkent University in Ankara. In 2008 and 2009 she delivered lectures at the Accademia di belle arti Piertro Vanucci in Peurgia and at the Accademia di belle Arti in Milan. She is devoted to monumental drawings and installations, but she also writes. She participated in many group exhibitions, had a lot of solo shows: showed her works in galleries in New York, Istambul, Ankara, Kiel, Brussels, but also abandoned butcher’s shop in hometown Sopot, Carthusian’s refectory, demolished florist’s and woods. She is interested in all the aspects connected with human body and fragility of memory. Her recent works deal with the issues of physiology of taste and synesthesia.
